On 23 March 2017, the Board of AsiaCMS officially received the notices of resignation from Executive Director, Dr. Tan Kang San and Training Director, Lee Loun Ling. Their resignations were accepted as the Board acknowledged their service of five years in AsiaCMS, thereby providing leadership since the organisation’s inception.
Since committing to the Memorandum of Understanding with Church Mission Society in 2012, AsiaCMS has established itself as an independent entity in collaboration with the global CMS community. The Board commends Dr. Kang San and Loun Ling for their tremendous effort in bringing AsiaCMS to where it is today.
Dr. Kang San will move on to serve as the General Director of BMS World Mission in the United Kingdom. As such, the outgoing Executive Director will commence phasing out his roles with AsiaCMS in the next six months.
At our Board meeting, we thanked Dr. Kang San and Loun Ling for their ministry with us since the founding of AsiaCMS. We trust there is a season for everything and bless them as they embark on this new calling.
As the Board begins the search for a new Executive Director, individual Board members will commit to step up their engagement with the ministry in the interim. A more detailed announcement is forthcoming.
We trust that this time of change will also be a time of opportunity. AsiaCMS looks into the new season with fresh opportunity for His mission in Asia and from Asia. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to more collaborative ministry avenues ahead.

Chair of the Board of AsiaCMS
