His ways are higher than our ways

Kumar had twenty-eight students from thirteen countries in his “Introduction to Community Transformation” class at the International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL). One of the requirements for the students was to participate in the Vision Conference seminar, which was originally initiated by Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA). The students, divided into seven groups, partnered with local churches and NGOs to equip in holistically bringing the transforming work of the gospel in their communities.

Amazingly, the Lord has truly blessed and used this class project to accomplish His work, for in one Vision Conference site alone, about three hundred local pastors and leaders were in attendance! IGSL students belonging to that group organised workshops; presented Jesus’ model for development; and even invited one of the successful local Christian NGOs in the country to testify about God’s work in the communities they have been helping.

Another student, who happened to be a military officer, described his experience of organising the Vision Conference as such:

“The Vision Conference experience became God’s way of reminding me that He is an all-powerful God. With Him, all things are possible. He can touch people’s hearts to respond to a noble cause. He can use people to capacitate others.”

Praise God for the lessons He personally taught our students! What appeared to be a simple class project turned out to be an inspiring and transforming work when entrusted in the hands of a big and purposeful God!

Please pray for all the local pastors and leaders who attended, that they will be able to apply what they have learned in the conference.

Pray also for Kumar’s role as Director of Life Mentoring and for his wife Kats’ class this term, the “Small Group Ministry.”
