Kumar had twenty-eight students from thirteen countries in his “Introduction to Community Transformation” class at the International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL). One of the requirements for the students was to participate in the Vision Conference seminar, which was originally initiated by Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA). The students, divided into seven groups, partnered with local churches and NGOs to equip in holistically bringing the transforming work of the gospel in their communities.

The expected due date was Sept 21, but we rushed to the hospital on Sept 12 because Kats’ water discharge started that morning. She was immediately admitted at the High Risk Pregnancy Unit at St Luke’s Hospital at Quezon City at 10am.

Psalm 139:1-4 exclaimed: “O Lord, You have searched me and known me! You know when I sit and when I rise up… Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.”
In the early weeks of my pregnancy, one of our young godmothers from church came and handed me a book entitled, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”. The book was our first unexpected, welcome gift from the Lord. It made me realised God’s love and care, helping me prepare for what’s to come and letting me know He is right there to guide us in our journey.
It’s touching to see young people pouring their hearts out to God. This was what our co-mission partners Kumar and Kathryn Aryal experienced when conducting a youth camp in Balay Indang, Cavite, the Philippines, from March 23-26.

I was reminded of this when God gave me the privilege to join the International Leadership Consortium (ILC) from March 14 to 20 in Singapore together with other International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL) leaders.
Where He leads, we go. This seems to be the mantra of a young couple whose family backgrounds were as diverse as you could get. But by the grace of Jesus Christ, they are now one. And happily serving the Lord together.
