Recognizing the importance and need to safeguard children and vulnerable individuals, AsiaCMS offers specialized safeguarding training for churches and mission organizations across Asia. Our training programs empower participants with foundational safeguarding concepts and the tools necessary to implement effective safeguarding policies within their organizations.
Training Programs Offered by AsiaCMS
Level 1 Training: Introduction to Safeguarding
Designed for individuals new to safeguarding, this basic training covers essential concepts and practices. The course accommodates 25-30 participants and spans 12 hours, which can be distributed over three days.

- Introduction to safeguarding principles
- Identifying types of harm against children and vulnerable adults
- Creating child-friendly and learning spaces
- Establishing safe environments for children
- Teaching children self-protection strategies
- Handling disclosures effectively
- Implementing safeguarding systems and policies in schools, organizations, and churches
- Developing a code of conduct, incident reporting, and response procedures
Level 2 Training: Advanced Safeguarding for Leaders
This advanced training is tailored for safeguarding focal persons, organizational leaders, and church/institution leaders who have a basic understanding of safeguarding and are involved in policymaking. The course supports 25-30 participants and covers 16 hours, which can be spread over three days.

- Comprehensive overview of safeguarding policies and systems
- Understanding international safeguarding standards and country-specific laws
- Prioritizing the best interests of children and at-risk adults with a biblical and legal mandate
- Preventing safeguarding issues within institutions
- Developing codes of conduct

- Implementing a survivor-centered approach to handling safeguarding issues, including fair inquiry processes and aftercare services
- Monitoring and evaluating safeguarding systems
