Concerning servant leadership, hermeneutics, and fellowship

Being an organisation that seeks to equip Cambodian pastors and church leaders towards community transformation, Shalom School of Ministries conducted a training course in July 2016.

Pastor Chhinho was part of the team facilitating this four-day course which was attended by twenty pastors and church leaders from different provinces of Cambodia.

The course addressed the crucial subjects of “Servant Leadership” to encourage Christ-like behaviour among ministers of God’s kingdom; and “Hermeneutics” whereby competent methods for interpretation/application were facilitated in a way which was clear and understandable to the participants (of whom some were learning it for the first time).

As essential as these sessions were, the value of the fellowship fostered in the evenings could not be overstated. Through the sharing of their periods of joy and struggles in ministry, the participants forged support for each other as they bore witness to God’s sustenance throughout their experience in the field.

Each day of the course ended with prayer for each other. It was truly a time whereby God’s grace and loving care was undeniably evident among them.

Monthly follow-up training sessions in the field have been scheduled to ensure continuity of support and equipping of these, our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Please pray for the participants of Shalom School of Ministries to be continually equipped in the Word of God for kingdom ministry.

Please pray for Shalom School of Ministries as they seek to reach out to pastors in remote areas through their new programme, “Building a Foundation of Faith.”
