14 Nov Equipping workers for church planting
It was exciting to see the thirst of many to study the Bible in depth and be equipped to share the gospel in different parts of Maharashtra and north India.
In July, we were actively involved with Kolhapur Church Council, primarily focusing on equipping village church pastors, evangelists and missionaries for church planting and growth. We enrolled 50 leaders in this region through TAFTEE certificate level based on the life of Jesus Christ – a course on Christian discipleship and ministry.
In August, we were similarly involved with CNI Diocese and independent churches in Ahmednagar district and managed to enroll 30 leaders in this region.
The following are testimonies from the TAFTEE certificate level training:
Surekha Ashok Adhav: God had healed and motivated me even during sickness and discouragement and overcome busyness to focus on His word.
Uma Shinde Ujagare: I discovered many truths of God’s words which were difficult. The life of Jesus Christ in His context helped me learn principles for ministry and strengthen my daily spiritual life.
Savita Shirshat: I learnt important lessons from the passion of Christ which opened my eyes to the sufferings and perseverance in ministry
Pramilla Pandit, 75, Doing TAFTEE CLP course along with other women in the church inspired me to start Bible study programme for women in the slums of Kashewadi, Pune, which has produced healing testimonies.
Please pray for Rev Raj Robertson, who has joined TAFTEE for the Delhi region, and also for Maharashtra and Gujarat regions to operate smoothly without any students dropping out of the training programmes. — Shirish S Suryawanshi, TAFTEE, India
