Equipping youths for leadership

Equipping youths for leadership

We are thankful to the Lord for His provision and protection during a challenging year in 2015 in Pakistan.

During the year, we conducted five Samaritan Strategy training sessions, two translation review meetings and three follow-up meetings involving six different facilitators who were trained in 2014.In September, Samaritan Strategy training was conducted with the Youth Development Internship Programme (YDIP). This group was started in July 2015 by Pakistan Mission Society (PMS) to mobilise, train, send and care for young adults in order to equip them spiritually and professionally.

This pioneer group comprises seven young people who will remain in training for six months, during which they will be equipped for holistic ministry in the unreached areas. This group actively participated in the Samaritan Strategy training and planned a seed project related to prevention of child sexual abuse in an underprivileged community. Four Samaritan Strategy Facilitators helped in conducting the training.

A Samaritan Strategy follow-up meeting was held with the YDIP group on Dec 9 to refine the planned seed project so that they could take action.

It is heartening to note that AsiaCMS also participated in a number of interfaith gatherings in the past year.

We thank our supporters and partners for walking alongside us, and ask that together we continue to seek God’s wisdom, protection and favour.
