31 Mar From Rituals to Redemption: Hari’s Transformation Through Christ
Gajan*, a co-mission partner based in South-Asia, leads a team at a Christian Leadership Training Center that focuses on residential programs for grassroots leaders.
Besides Christmas, Gajan also celebrated the year-end with a testimony about a fellow believer named Hari, who Gajan met almost a decade ago through a pastor who also teaches at the training center.
“Hari grew up within a Hindu community that was deeply rooted in strong rituals and beliefs, however, his introduction to the gospel came unexpectedly, through a group of children attending Sunday school. Though Hari was older, the children invited him to join the youth fellowship instead. It was during one of these meetings that he first encountered the story of Jesus walking on water. The story struck him profoundly, and in that moment, his heart was transformed.
Before the pandemic, Hari had hoped to attend a three-month physical leadership training program but was unable to due to his daily work shifts. However, during the COVID-19 lockdown, he was able to enroll in an online leadership training program, which Hari is grateful for as he feels it has empowered him to lead more effectively in God’s ministry,”
Gajan also shares that in addition to leading his own church and being involved in missions, Hari also works with an organization dedicated to combating human trafficking, specifically of women at South-Asian borders.
“Let’s continue to keep Hari and his congregation in prayer as they now have over 50 members and are looking to move into a new venue after outgrowing the old one!”
Pray for:
- For Gajan’s third term studies (for his master’s in Bible College) that are resuming in March 2025.
- For God’s provision, for both health and finances
