06 Sep Reaching the indigenous groups for Jesus & turning the heart of the young ones toward missions
Based in Malaysia, Jesu heads the Malaysian Missionary Movement. In April, a short-term mission trip was carried out to a Southeast Asian nation. Despite the increased restriction that limited their movements, they managed to visit a few mission partners and three mission areas
Back in Malaysia, they mobilized 12 churches to bring awareness on the local indigenous groups. Praise God that many churches committed to praying for and serving these groups! The ministry also supports 500 children and plans to network with a new ministry partner in Sri Lanka to reach the slum area children and plant churches in the villages.
In June, 10 youths went on a short mission trip to Thailand where they ministered in tertiary educational institutes. God’s hand was evident in spite of strong spiritual attacks and health issues. During the trip, one of the youths remained very reserved despite serving in all areas. Struggling with family issues from childhood, he had poor self-esteem and had been desperately seeking a breakthrough. Throughout the trip, he met people living worse lives with no hope. On the last day of the mission trip, he experienced a breakthrough and committed to love and serve the Lord.
Pray for the youths who joined the mission trip to be committed to serving in different areas of mission. Pray also for the protection of the ministers and ministries and that many will come to Jesus through them.
Also cover the indigenous communities in prayer that they will hunger for God and that churches will be ready to reach out and commit to serve them.
Finally, pray for the plans of the ministry to succeed.
