20 Sep Sharing God’s love through education
James* heads an educational ministry in Southeast Asia, from which 42 kindergarten students have graduated and progressed to primary school. This program provides free education, teachers, teaching materials, and game equipment to underprivileged children who cannot go to school. The parents are especially elated when their children are provided robes to graduate in at the graduation ceremony held yearly by the program.
This program engages with the community, reaching out to parents who previously refused their presence. Every three months, a meeting is held to convey the children’s progress to the parents who are given an opportunity to educate their children at home too. On top of that, these meetings enable sharing God’s love with them. Many have accepted Christ!
A recent testimony is of a man, John*, who lives alone, neglected by his children. Via the food distribution program and gospel sharing, he has accepted God. Another story is of a man, Robert*, who though devout in his faith, has readily opened up and listened to the gospel but is taking time to make his decision.
Pray for people like Robert to completely give their lives to God.
Pray for God’s provision for the project to renovate and rebuild the centre with concrete floors and brick walls as it has started to break down.
Pray for the ministry to continue positively impacting the surrounding communities and for God’s intervention as the centre develops the educational activities into a platform to share God’s love.
Intercede for the spiritual growth of the congregation and the success of the mission training planned for congregation members who desire to serve God.
