27 Dec Evoking A Heart for Missions by Training
Poline trains and equips church leaders and mission workers to serve God at a higher level especially in rural Cambodia. His passion to see church leaders across different districts become better equipped is evident as he continually travels and trains leaders from various parts of the nation. In a recent collaboration with the Antioch Institute core team and 19 trainers, 75 leaders were equipped through 14 training sessions.
A fortnight later, Poline facilitated the training to a group of 30 church leaders in another Southeast Asian country. Designed to help local churches consider sustainability, the training garnered a positive response, as the leaders agreed to spread Poline’s concept to their churches. Poline’s ministry has equipped many to serve at a greater capacity. A recent testimony from a Christian leader highlights the importance of prayer. This leader realised that he lacked power in running his ministry as he was not consistent in his prayer life. After attending and being inspired by Poline’s course on prayer, he started praying consistently. He truly believes that praying is being dependent upon God and trusting His power to work in and through one’s life. He has brought three people to Christ and is now using the Antioch curriculum to train others to share the good news more effectively.
The passion of the Christian leaders in Cambodia to serve the Lord is astounding despite many struggling to provide for their family as they sacrifice their job to attend the trainings. God has been faithfully working in their lives even when they find it challenging to understand the sessions with materials tailored for anyone with minimal educational background. The supernatural provision of God never stops as He moves through the generosity and prayers of the believers.
Pray for the latest training centre and for the local leaders to grasp the vision for the unreached in their own areas.
Pray for protection for the trainers who travel far from their home to the centres; many areas are flooded during rainy seasons which make some roads unsafe to travel on.
Pray for provision for the trainers and leaders who voluntarily serve by faith and live on a very small stipend. Pray for good weather and harvest for those who are farmers.
Pray for the trainers as they recruit students who are passionate in missions. Pray for anointing on the training sessions and that each student will finish strong.
Pray for the upcoming bi-annual church planting conferences as well as the training sessions for the next quarter.
