Serving God faithfully in Southeast Asia, James* has seen his educational outreach activities flourish especially among an unreached people group. He now serves around 80 children from neighbouring communities which is almost four times more compared to when the ministry first started. Parents have reported positive behavioural change; kids who used to use bad language and steal are starting to stop these behaviours, and those with no prior interest in learning are now eager to learn. The ministry also carries out sports activities such as futsal tournaments to reach out to teenagers and identify those whose hearts are receptive to the Lord. After the tournaments, they visit the teenagers’ houses and fellowship with them to build and foster a relationship to prepare their hearts to receive God’s love .
One of the ministry workers, Levi*, visits and distributes necessities to the poor and several widows around the area. Rita, one of the abandoned widows, lives alone in a hut. She finds and resells used goods to earn money for survival. Thanks to Levi’s love and attention, she has accepted Christ. Another widow, Dina*, lives with her four kids. Her husband works outside the city but has not returned for years. Levi reached out to her and her family, and they have come to the saving grace of God. People like Levi make up the core of the ministry as they sacrificially pour their love into saving and transforming lives. Praise God for the way He transforms the hearts of those who love Him and for the strength He provides to love others sacrificially.
Pray for funds to renovate the building used for the house church. Made entirely of wood, the foundation is eroding due to the sea water and is being replaced with stone. They have started the renovation, believing for God’s supernatural provision despite having funds only for the foundation.
Pray for God’s intervention as the centre develops the Early Childhood Education activities as a platform to share God’s love with the parents of the students.
Pray for God’s hand on the mission training planned for congregation members who desire to serve God.
