15 Oct The Journey to Spread God’s Love and Forgiveness in South Asia
Dilshad*, a Co-Mission Partner from South-Asia, has spent recent months conducting training sessions to help believers and new Christians better understand and apply God’s teachings in daily life. His team spent at least three days in each location, focusing on how to implement God’s love and forgiveness within homes and ministries.
In some areas, reactions were positive, with a mix of returning attendees and new participants. Many shared testimonies about their journeys of faith. A highlight was witnessing the opening ceremony of a church in a village, where pastors and the Christian Society chairperson were present. The event celebrated the first believer in the village, a woman with a disability who had previously been mocked but was now celebrated.
However, Dilshad’s team also encountered challenges. In areas facing persecution, open meetings were difficult, and some locations struggled with the training content. Certain individuals were demotivated or angered by the emphasis on applying God’s love and forgiveness to daily life. As Dilshad continues his travels, he aims to further support and encourage leaders seeking guidance on spiritual growth and effective community outreach.
Pray for:
- unity amongst the believers and leaders of each village
- more people to share the gospel so that newer individuals can accept Christ
- the health of Dilshad’s daughter
