Karna Bahadur was born in a Hindu family of west Nepal and worked as a teacher before going to Japan to work. His sister accepted the Lord and he hated her for that because he didn’t like Christianity as he was a devout Hindu.

One day his wife got sick and she couldn’t get healed even after going through various treatments. He was very disappointed. One day a few believers from a local Church came and prayed for his wife. She began to be healed. This led him to believe in Jesus Christ.

He started looking for training and came to know about leadership training in Butwal, West Nepal. This is one of four training stations that the Leadership Training Department of NCF Nepal has in the country.

At the age of 70 Karna enrolled for the three-month residential leadership training three years ago. He has been blessed for that experience.

“I was an old person but I learned so many things in my life. I learned to walk with God and how a leader should be,” he said.

After graduation he went back to his home church and served there for a few months. Later, he sensed God’s calling to go to a remote hilly area of western region called Myagdi.

Together with his wife he went there and started sharing the gospel. Within 18 months he has led 10 people to Christ and he has started a worshipping community.

Please pray for regular funding for East Nepal training and for a new building in Butwal. — Manoj Kumar Pradhananga, LTD/NCF Nepal
