04 Oct God is our hope
Based in South Asia, Paul* and Esther* faithfully run a fellowship where they train and mentor pastors and leaders every week besides financially supporting three pastors. One of their trainees has gone on to establish a new fellowship.
However, it is challenging for Paul and Esther to train and frequently visit their trainees’ church-planting ministry due to their busy schedules. They need Bible teachers to train people to work alongside them. Nonetheless, they plan to visit some of the mission fields where they have established churches and to hold a baptism ceremony for new believers. Their ministry is a beacon of hope to many.
One person is Anjalee*, who has suffered miserably since childhood. As the sole provider to her alcoholic husband and alcoholic-and-drug-addict sons while also looking after her grandkids, she had lost hope when pastors from the fellowship visited her and shared the good news. She is now a firm believer who is believing for her family’s salvation. Some of her loved ones attend church occasionally.
Arjun, is another testimony. He was very “anti-Gospel.” When he was diagnosed with kidney problem, pastors from the fellowship visited, prayed for him, and continually checked on him. Arjun started attending church. A few months later, a check-up revealed his condition had improved. He committed his life to God.
Intercede for the church’s growth in spreading the Word and creating disciples and for its plan to train 20 new mission leaders through the online ministry training program by the end of 2023.
Pray for the spiritual and physical wellbeing of Paul and Esther’s family, healing for Arjun, and also peace and life transformation for Anjalee’s family.
