29 Jan Pray for Saia & Melody – India
Pandita Ramabai – Founder of Mukti Mission
Melody was one of our first Co Mission Partners from the Synod Mission Board in 2008, she served in a hospital in Himalyan part of India followed by a term in Punjab in a district bordering Pakistan working among women who were HIV positive . During this time she married Saia who was also taken on as a CoMP and taught in a school there . In early 2012 , they moved to Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission as part of their current placement. Melody works in the community hospital of the mission and Saia teaches maths and science and also given his theological training is a good support to the local church there. They have two sons , one born in Punjab ( Abel ) and the other a year ago ( Jacob ) at the Mukti Mission .
They ask for prayer for;

We thank God for His protection so far in all our journeys

Pray for our passport that we will get it as early as possible as have travel plans and have been various delays

Pray for the children, Abel & Jacob, in particular that the Lord would keep them in good health

Pray for Saia as he preaches and tries to support local church

For Mukti Mission, protection of their property and the adoption licence from the government would be granted

For unity & strength among the all the staff as we try to serve local community
