05 Sep Trained and sent for His glory
We praise God that on April 8, 2017, 67 students from 14 countries graduated from their International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL) training, three of whom are from our small group.
Steven will be going back to Myanmar to share Jesus and disciple young professionals in the marketplace. Marvin, who is an ex-convict, will minister among prisoners and their families. He will also continue to disciple cadets from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in Baguio as well as serve in the local church there. Laurice, who is a youth minister, will disciple young people and raise the next generation of Christ-committed leaders in her province, Marinduque in the Philippines.
We look forward to how God will use them in their respective countries in the expansion of His Kingdom for His glory.
As IGSL bade goodbye to one group, a fresh batch comprising 76 students from 14 countries enrolled in June for the academic year 2017-2018.
The Freshmen Integration Training (FIT) was the first major event of the new school year under Life Mentoring Team that Kumar is leading. Students were integrated in the IGSL community and had basic cultural orientation.
It’s encouraging to hear how God opened the doors for them to come to IGSL. They are answers to prayers, as we have prayed for them for the past several months. We praise God for bringing this new batch of students who will be equipped to become servant-steward leaders in key sectors of society!
The first trimester of the academic year 2017-2018 began on June 19. Kumar is teaching “Introduction to Community Transformation” while his wife Kats is teaching “Creating Learning Environment” class. Kumar has 28 students from 13 countries, including six military students from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The government is one of the key sectors of society for which IGSL is committed to developing servant-steward leaders. Several military students are sent to IGSL every year by various branches of the AFP as we have established a Memorandum of Agreement with AFP.
Please pray for Kumar and Kats for their respective roles in ministry and for God’s provision and protection as they raise their nine-month-old son, Kevin.
