AsiaCMS teamed up with Chhinho Saing, founder and director of Shalom Mission Cambodia (SMC), and held a Missional Leadership Training in May 2016. Together with Chhinho, who is also AsiaCMS’s new co-mission partner, AsiaCMS executive director Dr Tan Kang San and AsiaCMS training director Loun Ling Tan taught at the training sessions held at SMC’s School of Ministries in Phnom Penh. 

SACYN_Inside By Yeap Boo Yam A total of 47 delegates from seven countries are gathered in Nagarkot, Nepal, for the SACYN Leadership Conference 2016 on the topic of disability, based on the theme “Accessible South Asia: Creative Responses for Mental Health and Differently Abled.” The six-day gathering from July 1 is packed with worship sessions, personal devotions and private reflections, workshops and presentations by internationally renowned church leaders and subject matter experts on the differently abled and mental disorders, which are issues that cut across generations.

I was early for the meeting, so I chatted with some of the people in the audience before the meeting started. One of them was a well-known Buddhist writer. He told me that the Buddha was superior to Jesus because, even though Jesus lived a noble life, he was defeated through death in his battle for righteousness.

You know when I sit and when I rise up… Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether." In the early weeks of my pregnancy, one of our young godmothers from church came and handed me a book entitled, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”. The book was our first unexpected, welcome gift from the Lord. It made me realised God’s love and care, helping me prepare for what’s to come and letting me know He is right there to guide us in our journey.

Love_Nayana_Inside She is a beautiful young girl of 14 years. Life didn’t give her much of a choice in where she had to live; neither did it give a choice in becoming a mother at the age of 15. All she had been through in her life was rejection from her family and at every institution she was placed in.
