gcl_22-march-2017_02 On 22 March 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, around seventy people from various churches and para-church organisations participated in a talk entitled "The Global Church Landscape: Trends in global Christianity, religion, & mission." Despite the usual congestion in traffic on a weekday evening, many turned up early and the programme commenced on time. The talk was organised by AsiaCMS in collaboration with Asia Gateway, Seminari Theoloji Malaysia, and the Malaysian Center for Global Mission.

Build.CMS_Inside_300x217 As we stay simple, humble and true to Scriptures, we could feel the faithful leading of God. In 2017, the Shalom School of Ministries started a training programme called “Building a Foundation for Faith”. It is aimed at reaching out to local pastors and church leaders who lack opportunities to attend training in their local areas to equip themselves. Our facilitators humble themselves to stay where they stay, eat what they eat and fellowship with them in God’s love.

KS.CMS_Inside_300x217 On 23 March 2017, the Board of AsiaCMS officially received the notices of resignation from Executive Director, Dr. Tan Kang San and Training Director, Lee Loun Ling. Their resignations were accepted as the Board acknowledged their service of five years in AsiaCMS, thereby providing leadership since the organisation's inception.

On 11 March 2017, Asia Gateway and Wesley Methodist Church, KL jointly conducted a Weekend Seminar on “Engaging with People of Different Faiths” by Dr Tan Kang San & Ms Lee Loun Ling with special sharing by Chitra Jayakaran.

In November 2016, the National Mission Commission of Nepal launched a livelihood development programme for women living in the slums of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The purpose of this programme was to equip women who lived in marginalised communities with skills that would enable them to eventually start a tailoring business for sustainable and dignified livelihood.
