PEP Theatre_Inside One of the most common taboos in Pakistani society is "disability". Disabled people carry a stigma which can dog them for life. A village in Khowaja Goth, rural Sindh, chants this same sad story of the scars that disabled people, especially children, have been bearing since birth. The lame or mentally retarded children have one and only possible way to survive, and that is to be shut out completely from society. Their families feel an inner shame and are unable to shake off this albatross.

Shalom_Inside Some things can’t be learned at work, and most people do not have the time or resources to sit and study at home. For Kingdom work, Cambodians find it very expensive and impractical to spend three years at a seminary to gain a diploma.

Indon Care_Inside Praise be to God, whose power has never failed. In May, the local government invited AsiaCMS’s Indonesian partner agency to meet to discuss a new project. This time God was opening two projects for us, one in central Jakarta and another in East Jakarta.

Recently, at our family night prayer, I was sharing with my wife that if we could help the Mushar community with an umbrella it would be a great help for them in this rainy season.

AsiaCMS teamed up with Chhinho Saing, founder and director of Shalom Mission Cambodia (SMC), and held a Missional Leadership Training in May 2016. Together with Chhinho, who is also AsiaCMS’s new co-mission partner, AsiaCMS executive director Dr Tan Kang San and AsiaCMS training director Loun Ling Tan taught at the training sessions held at SMC’s School of Ministries in Phnom Penh.
